Nocatee Greenway Trails
A Resident's Guide to One of the Community's Best Features
When people first visit Nocatee, they often notice the beautiful neighborhoods, award-winning amenities, and bustling Town Center.
What many don't realize is that one of the community's greatest amenities isn't a building at all—it's the miles of Greenway Trails that connect neighborhoods, parks, schools, and preserved natural areas throughout Nocatee.
Whether you're walking the dog, riding your bike, heading to dinner in a golf cart, or simply enjoying a peaceful morning outdoors, the Greenway Trail system is one of the things that makes everyday life here so unique.
What Are the Nocatee Greenway Trails?
The Greenway Trails are a network of paved multi-use paths designed to help residents travel throughout much of the community without relying on major roadways.
Residents use them every day for:
Walking
Running
Biking
Golf cart transportation
Visiting parks and playgrounds
Accessing community amenities
Connecting with neighbors
Enjoying the outdoors
Rather than simply serving as sidewalks, the Greenway Trails were thoughtfully designed to become part of everyday life in Nocatee.
More Than a Trail System
One of our favorite things about the Greenway Trails is that they encourage people to slow down and enjoy the community.
Instead of hopping in the car for every errand, it's common to see families riding bikes to the park, neighbors taking evening walks together, or residents hopping on a golf cart to meet friends for dinner.
The trails help create the connected lifestyle that Nocatee has become known for.
Nature Around Every Turn
Because Nocatee was designed around protected conservation land, many sections of the Greenway wind through beautiful natural scenery.
Along the trails you may encounter:
Marshes
Lakes
Wooded preserves
Native Florida landscapes
Open green spaces
It's also common to spot local wildlife, including:
Deer
Otters
Turtles
Great blue herons
Egrets
Bald eagles
Hawks
Owls
And yes...this is Florida, so you'll occasionally see an alligator. They're a natural part of our ecosystem, and residents simply enjoy observing wildlife from a respectful distance.
For nature lovers, it's one of the many reasons Nocatee feels different from a typical suburban community.
Where Can the Trails Take You?
The Greenway Trail system connects many of Nocatee's most popular destinations, including:
Neighborhood parks
Splash Water Park
Spray Water Park
Nocatee Town Center
Shopping and restaurants
Schools
Dog parks
Recreation fields
Playgrounds
Community gathering spaces
Many residents can leave their driveway and travel throughout much of the community without ever getting on a major roadway.
That's one of the reasons golf carts, bicycles, and evening walks have become such a big part of the Nocatee lifestyle.
