Trails for Tails
Located within Community Park, Trails for Tails features open grassy play areas where dogs can socialize while owners enjoy a landscaped walking path.
Happy Tails Dog Park
Located in Greenleaf Village, Happy Tails offers fenced play areas surrounded by beautiful tree-lined walkways.
Paws Dog Park
Located at Davis Park, Paws Dog Park includes two fenced dog parks, one featuring a convenient dog wash station, all surrounded by athletic fields and playgrounds.
Cypress Tails
Located within Cypress Trails, this spacious fenced dog park sits adjacent to Cypress Park's pool, clubhouse, pavilion, and walking trails.
Waggin' Tails
Located in Twenty Mile Village, Waggin' Tails offers a peaceful setting surrounded by mature oak trees near Twenty Mile Park.
Central Bark
Located in Twenty Mile Post, between The Crossing at Twenty Mile and The Outlook neighborhoods, Central Bark features separate areas for small and large dogs along with agility equipment for energetic pups.
West End Dog Park
West End Park includes separate play areas for small and large dogs with convenient access to nearby walking paths.
Crosswater Dog Park

Settler's Pond Dog Park

Living Alongside Nature
One of the reasons Nocatee is so beautiful is because more than 60% of the community has been permanently preserved as natural habitat.
That means it's common to see:
Deer
Turtles
Owls
Hawks
Rabbits
Wading birds
The occasional alligator near ponds and lakes
It also means coyotes are part of the local ecosystem.
Although coyote encounters are relatively uncommon, they do occur. Unfortunately, we've experienced firsthand how important it is to supervise small pets outdoors after a neighbor's cat was taken by a coyote. It's a heartbreaking reminder that living next to beautiful preserves also means respecting the wildlife that calls them home.
If you're purchasing a preserve lot and have small dogs, we often recommend installing a low mesh barrier along the bottom of your aluminum fence. Many homeowners choose this inexpensive solution to help prevent curious pets from slipping underneath while preserving the beautiful open views that make preserve lots so desirable.
Deer Love Landscaping Too
Watching deer wander through the neighborhood is one of the many things residents love about living in Nocatee.
The downside?
They also love flower gardens.
One simple trick many longtime residents use is placing decorative garden pinwheels or wind spinners throughout their landscaping. The movement helps discourage deer from browsing flower beds while adding a little personality to the yard.
It's one of those local tips you usually don't discover until you've lived here for a while.
